Terms of Use

The terms for using RemoteReady BW as a graduate or a company.

1. What RemoteReady BW is

RemoteReady BW prepares Botswana's tech graduates for remote work, personally screens candidates who want to apply for roles, and connects screened graduates to companies hiring remotely. It's a live platform, registered with CIPA, operated by Masego Makati.

2. Accounts

Graduate accounts are free to create and free to keep, permanently. You need a working email address to confirm your account, and the information on your profile should be genuinely yours and accurate. A CV or profile misrepresenting who you are undermines the vetting this platform exists to provide.

Company accounts are also free to create and free to post job listings. If your company hires a candidate we introduced you to, separate terms apply: see Terms for Hiring Companies.

3. Preparation and vetting are honest, not automated

Career preparation is self-assessed by you: we don't grade your CV or interview answers with AI. Vetting, where it happens, is a real human review: your CV read by us, a recorded video watched by us, and a one-to-one call. We don't promise a particular outcome from either. Preparation helps you present yourself well, and vetting is our honest judgment, not a guarantee of being hired.

4. Your content

Your CV, profile, video and anything else you upload stays yours. By putting it on the platform, you're giving us permission to show it to the people it's meant for: your own dashboard, and, once your profile is live or you apply for a role, the companies described in our Privacy Policy. We don't use your CV or video for anything beyond running the platform.

5. Our intellectual property

The platform itself belongs to us. That includes the source code, the database design, the preparation tracks and their checklists, the interview question bank, the CV template, the written guides, the design and layout of the site, and the RemoteReady BW name and branding. All of it was created by Masego Makati and remains our property.

Using the platform, as a graduate or as a company, doesn't transfer any of that to you. You're given permission to use it for its intended purpose, and nothing more.

Specifically, don't copy, reproduce, republish or adapt any part of the platform or its materials, and don't use them to build or support a competing service. If you want to use something of ours somewhere else, ask us first and we'll usually say yes.

6. Acceptable use

Don't misrepresent who you are, scrape or copy other people's data off the platform, or use contact details or CVs you're given access to for anything beyond the hiring conversation they were shared for. Companies specifically agree not to pass a candidate's details to another company or recruiter: see Terms for Hiring Companies clause 11.

7. Deleting your account

You can delete your own account at any time from your dashboard. This removes your profile, your uploaded files, and your application history. It's a real, working feature, not a request that sits in a queue.

8. What we don't promise

We're not an employer of record, and we don't handle contracts, payroll, tax or work permits for any role you're hired into: that relationship is between you and the company. We do our best to keep the platform available and accurate, but we can't guarantee it will be free of errors or interruptions.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Botswana. Any dispute would be handled under Botswana law and in Botswana's courts.

10. Changes to these terms

If these terms change in a way that matters, we'll update this page and change the date below.
